Sanctuary: Reinvigoration of a cultural concept

The notion of sanctuary has been under vicious attack in our current times of cultural and ideological self-centeredness. Belfort Wunder Muller, Poet-in-absentia of New Jersey, begins a discussion to reinvigorate the concept of sanctuary, to describe why the concept is essential, and to briefly describe strategies for reinforcing sanctuaries. The volume is accompanied by the art of Hanpo Weltkunst, showcasing the paintings of the Wazac Ring, an enduring regional exhibition (also a form of sanctuary) in Iowa.
