Published by order of Gregory XIII, revised by Urban VIII and Clement X, Augmented and corrected by Benedict XIV, Translated from the copy printed at Rome 1914, printed in America in 1916. "The Roman Martyrology is an official and accredited record, on the pages of which are set forth in simple and brief, but impressive words, the glorious deeds of the Soldiers of Christ in all ages of the Church; of the illustrious Heroes and Heroines of the Cross, whom her solemn verdict has beatified or canonized." We had been reading a pdf version from the internet archive each day, but didn't see the impressive indices until preparing the print version. I have processed the files from the internet archive to improve the readability. Pages 72 and 73 are a bit blurry but still readable and the rest is pretty good.
