An illustrated history of the early years of Adelaide Oval tracing its development from a major cricket ground to one with much wider uses. While recognised internationally as a Test cricket venue it was also the headquarters of Australian Rules football, and hosted eighteen other sports and a myriad of events - royal tours, patriotic displays, charity carnivals, musical concerts and a corroboree among them.
