Ethnobotanic and Phytotherapic Study of Two Medicinal Plants from Tropical America

This is the Memory Work of my training in Phyto aromatherapy and medicinal plant consulting, in order to obtain the officially recognized Professional Certificate from the Institute Hippocratus in southern France. This Institution was founded by renowned medical doctor Jean-Michel Morel (Expert in pharmacognosy, herbal medicine, aromatherapy and homeopathy), and Professor Jacques Pellecuer (Doctor of Pharmacy and researcher in the field of essential oils distilled from Mediterranean plants). This work describes the botanical, ethnobotanic, biochemical and therapeutic aspects of Costus spiralis and Hyptis sauaveolens, two very interesting and powerful healing medicinal plants from tropical America. Fully illustrated with Plant Plates and extensive introduction. this thesis received an honorary mention by the examining jury.
