Journey of Souls

Journey of Souls takes the reader down a path, which weaves between the present day and 1860’s Louisiana. It follows the experiences of the Maddeaux family, whose lives are forever changed during a vacation at one of Louisiana’s historical antebellum plantations. The past and present converge as the modern day Marcus Maddeaux, and his daughter, Emma, find that they are reincarnated spirits of the plantation’s original owner – Phillip DeLaRonde, and his daughter, Abagail. The story parallels between Phillip’s story; his gambling addiction, which leads to him becoming a pawn in the dark world of voodoo and, ultimately, ends in the untimely deaths of his wife and daughter. Meanwhile, Marcus struggles to distinguish between dreams and his new found reality as the past and present begin to mesh. All the while, Marcus’ wife, Eileen, battles to save her husband and daughter, only to find that her personal journey is merely beginning as her past also begins to unfold.
