Angel in My Pocket begins with a young mother frantically racing to bring her newborn daughter to her dying great-aunt, Rizzie in hopes of giving her a reason to live and so her daughter can benefit from Rizzie’s magic.   When she arrives too late, she’s plunged into a quirky, journey that weaves through her nearly unbelievable childhood memories as she attempts to understand, this mysterious aunt and her dark secrets as well as the other eclectic group of women who raised her. Angel in My Pocket dances through the spectrum of emotion.
