This book follows Beth’s journey from milking cows in country Tasmania, to studies at a prestigious English drama college, to becoming a respected Australian arts educator and being invited to share her expertise in Japan. But her path is not always smooth. Along the way her career is challenged by illness and the vagaries of departmental politics, however it is also enriched by her many adventures. Her love of the natural world, especially the Tasmanian landscape, is evident in her writing – several of her poems are included in this book.
