Rupa Gosvami is saying, “The Vedas are doing arati only to the rays coming from harinama.’ Who is harinama? Himself Krsna. Harinama and Krsna are non-different, but yet harinama is more superior. “All the Vedas are glorifying the holy name, but from very far away. They cannot taste all the rasa which is in the holy name. Only liberated and very high class of people who have have followed the process of raganuga-bhakti and are knowing what is prema, sneha, mana, pranaya, raga, anuraga, bhava, mahabhava, especially the mahabhava of Radhika, those who realize these things, only they can glorify and chant the pure name. Otherwise not.” Our chanting of the holy name is always full of offenses. But more superior than this is chanting with not so much offense, a semblance of the holy name, nama-abhasa. Then those who are in the association of high class of raganuga Vaisnavas who are knowing all these things: who is Krsna, what is rasa, who is Srimati Radhika, what is prema-tattva, rasa-tattva, all these things.
