Bhakta Bandhav Anthology

BySrila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami MaharajaBhakta Bandhav

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
Upon his arrival to Maui, Hawaii on June 29th, Srila Gurudeva explained how this world is only like a dream, telling the pastime of Krsna swallowing a forest fire as an example. He said, “Why are we not strongly chanting and remembering Krsna? One day all of these material things will go away and you will see that if you are chanting and remembering, if you are following the association of Krsna’s devotees, you will see that, ‘Oh we are in Goloka Vrndavana.’ You will see that we have been to this world only like a dream, that we have never actually come to this world. You will see that, ‘Oh, we are serving Krsna there, so pleasingly, like Yasoda Maiya, Nanda Baba, Sridama, Subala, like the gopis.’ This world is like a dream. You should try to follow Krsna. But where is Krsna? That is why we should follow devotees, true devotees. We should follow those who are devotees in the true sense, not running after money or any worldly thing or any worldly desire. They have no worldly desire at all. They have only one desire. They are worried for us, thinking, ‘How can we quickly engage them in Krsna consciousness?’ Their only desire is to save us. But we don’t follow them. We don’t want to follow them. We have no time to do all these things.
