Only to get punished for doing so. - It seemed the world was out to get him. Mr English was about to be punished. Punished for being a law abiding citizen. Mr English thought he had all the life experience he would ever need to see out his days in peace and harmony, but over the period of a few months he would learn about a world that he knew little about – modern day Britain. In a society where those who deserve to be punished, go unpunished, the law makes sure that it is, in fact, the honest and the innocent who suffer the most. Unfortunately for Mr English, an honest and innocent man is precisely what he is.
