This abstract was compiled using microfilms of The Souderton Independent newspaper and The Harleysville News, both published in Montgomery County, Pa. Most of the information was taken from death and marriage notices, which included names, hometowns, parents and spouses. Obituaries (not many existed), and short articles in the \223Local News\224 and gossip section of the newspaper also contained news and announcements of deaths and marriages.
