This story is a rewrite of an old one. At the time, I was working as a Gospel radio DJ; and going to school/ college. At the time of this story, the Coronavirus 19 Pandemic wasn’t even a thought. In fact, we hadn’t had an African American President yet. (We were AT LEAST 8 years away from that notion. MOST things that we are all used to, hadn’t happened yet. Things like, Netflix, Amazon, Facebook, Social Media as a whole. Onstar, grocery pick up-- Cell phones were also pretty rudimentary. We didn’t know who George Floyd was ...yet. And the Black Live Matter Movement wasn’t even in the works.
Keep in mind, it was written in 1999 to early 2000’s. And if you bust out your son or daughter’s history book, you’ll see that there will be a lot of things omitted.
