Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
A personal friend of Steven Tyler tells an unbelievable story about a secret side of the lead singer of Aerosmith’s life. Bobby Fontaine was a young teenager growing up in Northern Virginia. Steven was trying to break out of the Northeast music scene onto the national stage. Calling himself “Jersey ” while pretending to be a 17 year old kid from New Jersey, Tyler befriended Bobby and interviewed him about music kids around Washington DC wanted to hear. Steven favored Woodstock type music from the 60’s. Bobby told him “that hippie bullshit will never fly, kids need music to raise hell to.” Aerosmith was at the top on the music charts within a year. That however was not the end of their volatile relationship. Bobby’s father is CIA. Steven’s Sicilian blood and New York City upbringing afforded him access to Mafia backers in NY and Boston. These two powerful groups clashed over a confidentiality agreement Bobby was expected to sign for Steven. The dispute still secretly haunts both their lives today.
