With a new Chieftess, comes new questions, concerns and ultimately new decisions for the direction of the Amazoi people. All the while the previously small tribe grows in number due to the influx of the freed slaves and the children mostly born of Rafeltu. As Udora takes on the role of Priestess and Shaymo thinks more of the Great Water, the destiny of their tribe turns to wandering the vast mountain ranges and valleys in search of where the Goddess has chosen to lead. The battle turns inward as the Amazoi are faced with the influences of the New Comers' culture and ideals. They are forced to work to preserve their new war-like culture, their language and their equality.
