Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus is a novel written by English author Mary Shelley (1797–1851) that tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, a young scientist who creates a grotesque but sapient creature in an unorthodox scientific experiment.
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is a novella by the Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 - 1894) first published in 1886.
Dracula is an 1897 Gothic horror novel by Irish author Bram Stoker (1847- 1912). It introduced Count Dracula, and established many conventions of subsequent vampire fantasy.
