Kate and the Angels of Xara

Kate is a pretty red-head, nearly sixteen years old and yearning to become an astronaut. A family tragedy opens the way for her to fulfil her dream, and a life of adventure and comradeship unfolds. The next few years bring a rich mix of fulfilment, joy, sorrow, distress, and eventually, romance.
