‘Home’ is a modern y/a fiction novel following the stories of two boys from southern Indiana that face the challenges that come with growing up. Lake, an emotional artistic introvert with little direction in his life, meets Ezra, a studious aspiring writer with concrete goals and impressive diligence. The two form a friendship that teaches them both new things about each other as well as themselves. As Lake overcomes his deepest anxieties and Ezra learns to be more in tune with his emotions to try and land a scholarship, they grow closer than either of them expected. The two navigate this strange evolution together; the farewell to adolescence, the approach of their adult years, and the surfacing of unfamiliar and unexpected feelings.
The title of the book has many meanings, but as the boys go on a journey of pain and love and self-discovery, they find out what home really means to them.
