The Concrete End of a Dream:
In the middle of the night, Dr. Wilson is called to the Indian reservation’s emergency room. When Dr. Wilson arrives, he discovers the patient is an enemy from his past life. This man, named Eight-Track, has sworn to kill Dr. Wilson.
In Part One of ‘The Motorcycle Requiem’ trilogy, we discover that Jack Wilson is actually Kent Stevens II, born to the upper class of New England. After his parents divorce, the teenage Kent begins a downward spiral that leads him to being one of the most vilified people in all of Massachusetts.
In a parallel story line, we find Kent Stevens after he has taken his latest and current identity, Jack Wilson. While trying to form a new life, he meets Suzie Cote, an American Indian who is starting a new life of her own. Together, they run afoul of the law, buy a motorcycle and become fugitives, leading a cross-country flee from the police.
