Brett Fauver was happy - twenty-nine and just married, child on the way, and a promising new theatre company in his hometown. It seemed as if his oyster was opening up. However, the presence of lumps in his chest and shoulder alerted him that paradise was far off. After many biopsies and tests, it was determined that he had cancer - hodgkin's disease - which sent his life into a spiral on the same day his son was born. After many treatments and transplants, he is on the mend, with his funny bone still intact!
In this collection of short plays and comedy sketches, playwright and cancer survivor Brett Fauver examines subjects he encountered daily while going through five years of chemotherapy treatment, radiation therapy, and two bone-marrow/stem cell transplants. Be ready to laugh, cry, and then read again.
