Knickers Galore! -- Memoirs of a 'Psychopath'
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The author narrowly escaped spending his life in Britain’s lock-up of last resort for ‘criminal lunatics.’ In 1963, Brian Grenardier, after a wretched childhood of being crippled in both feet and being the daily target of abuse from a violent and drunken father, started adding arson to his less serious criminality and sexual perversion. By 1965, as a ‘Young Prisoner’, he was under consideration for life-time detention in Broadmoor. He had told staff like me, at H.M. Prison Grendon, that fire-setting had become a sexual turn-on for him: he liked to masturbate to the ensuing blaze. Although, in other ways, Brian did not seem especially ‘psychopathic,’ professional staff had to take his dangerous (or at least potentially very costly) sexual deviance most seriously. These memoirs, written by Brian and edited by me, tell the story of his life –- including his remarkable sexuality, his encounters with the authorities of around 1960, and his eventual adaptation to society. – Chris Brand.
