
Trauma can have you negotiating your pain from one perspective. Allow yourself to be honest with the situation by facing the truth. Not by past beliefs but by getting a realistic perception of how you feel and what transpired. Today, I looked at a situation that happened to me years ago.
Fast forward to today, I analyze the truth with a new aspect that was not clear to me until now. To find out I had the right to be hurt but my views on the situation weren’t accurate. I can't blame others and never acknowledge that I played a big part in it, too. No one will help me heal from this. That’s something I must want for myself. I have to give myself the chance to accept and let go. Letting go isn't forgetting; it's not for them. It's for me. Forgiveness isn't saying it's okay; it's my way of moving on.
