My Sister is My Hero

This book was written for military children to help them cope with deployments. The story, written in rhyme, begins with Sister having to go away and ends with her coming home again. In between, the book covers things that Sister might miss and shows how proud her siblings are of her. The words are general enough to apply to all branches of the US military deployed to any part of the world. The illustrations show children of both genders and of varying ages and races so that all children can identify with the book.
