Maine(ly) Love Stories: An Integrated Arts Thematic Unit

In our every day existence, we use words and images to construct our reality; there are no pre-existing lines that can be drawn between reality and imaginative actuality, we create them. The works of art represented in this book tell the story of place and self-actualization through the lens of art. Students enrolled in the workshop designed after this book will learn to explore the landscape of their communities with fresh eyes. The creative nonfiction, poetry and photography published in their class book will illustrate life as envisioned by the class as a whole. As the definitions disappear, the artists emerge anew.
