A middle grade / young adult book telling the story of an orphaned noble girl living in poverty. It's full of adventure. We follow her from eleven to fourteen as she's taken to the royal castle, faced with ethnic hatred, escapes assassination and becomes a key but controversial character in the kingdom. You won't find any paranormal elements just adventure. This story was inspired by the author's conservative Christian students.
