Tales from the Rez

……… a collection of tales. Some as fanciful and frivolous as the dust devil that swirls as it torments the witch-water that dances in the summers heat. Some are as bone-chilling as the pounding of the drum of death announcing the passing of a tribal member, or the lonesome, mournful cry of the banshee of death that is only heard by the soon-to-be deceased. The stories within are fiction, but at the same time hold a certain air of truth. Facts are not necessarily present. The beautiful thing is, “fact” is not needed for truth to be meaningful. This handful of tales will make you laugh and make you cry. They will give you a warm, fuzzy feeling and they will bring out a rage of anger at the injustice. No matter the story, it will produce emotion.
