And the Road Goes On: Arcosanti

"Arcosanti" chronicles a June 2018 excursion that I made to Arsosanti, a "sustainable urban living experiment" near Cordes Junction, Arizona (about an hour north of Phoenix, just east of I-17). While I was there, I learned about Arsosanti's history; saw firsthand how the students, designers, and teachers live as residents on site; got a briefing on the arcology theories of Paolo Soleri (who, unsurprisingly, studied under Frank Lloyd Wright); enjoyed a dinner that was delivered by wheelbarrow; listened to the authentic Italian soothing sounds of The Baritone and The Accordionist; and, the following day, skated a fistful of fresh concrete ditches using a brand-new, cleverly spec'd skate setup. Recommended for ages 18 and over due to occasional cussing throughout the commentary.
