"The Summer Camper Tour 2017/2018, Report Number Four: Buckeye, Arizona" chronicles a February 2017 excursion that I made to Buckeye, Arizona. Intended as a shakedown cruise before I began The Summer Camper Tour 2017/2018 in earnest, this micro-sized weekend adventure still packed a philosophical and historical punch that examines, in depth, Buckeye's history as an agricultural cotton town; historic downtown (as compared and contrasted to the modern-day economic corridor along the nearby interstate); Buckeye Hills Regional Park, perhaps the last truly free park in the country; urban exploring the many abandonments along Old US Route 80; and a few impromptu ditch-skating missions. Originally published by Concrete Wave Magazine in the spring of 2017, this version has been extensively re-written and re-edited to more accurately represent my original aims and intentions with this series of articles. Recommended for ages 18 and over due to occasional cussing throughout the commentary.
