Srimad Srimad Bhagavatamm is one of Hinduism's eighteen great Puranas. The Srimad Bhagavatam is widely recognized as the best-known and most influential of the Puranas and, along with the Itihasa and other puranas, is sometimes referred to as the "Fifth Veda". The Srimad Bhagavatam declares itself the essence of all the Upanishads and derivative Smritis; In the third verse, Lord Veda Vyasa has described Srimad Bhagavatam as Juice of a fruit borne by a tree of Vedas called Kalpavruksha and easy to relish. Here Vedas are like seeds, Brahma Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, Vishnu Sahasaranama is like trunk, branch, leaves, flowers. The fruit and its Juice being Srimad Srimad Bhagavatam. As Srimad Srimad Bhagavatam has the substance of Vedas, Vedanta and Mahabarata, it has high significance.
