Space Pioneers

In order to setup the first colony in another solar system, the Polaris Unit is assigned to the project along with Captain Strong. Tasked with screening applicants and ensuring all equipment is up to standards, they must keep the colony on track and safe. When Captain Strong is replaced by Paul Vidac, the boys notice some questionable decisions being made. Applicants who are unqualified are have criminal backgrounds are at first reject by the unit but then accepted by Vidac. Later Vidac starts taking advantage of the colonists and send the Polaris unit on a suicide mission. While managing to survive the trip out to the new colony, tragedy strikes the mission. It is up to the Polaris Unit to ensure the survival of the colony and bring Vidac to justice. Book four of the Tom Corbett Space Cadet series.
