Stand by for Mars!

In the 24th century, the solar system is protected by the Solar Alliance. An organization dedicated to the expansion and the safe guarding of the human race as it settles the last frontier, outer space. In order to train the officers of tomorrow, the best and brightest are sent to the Solar Academy and undergo rigorous training. It is at the Academy that first year cadet Tom Corbett is assigned to the Polaris unit along with Roger Manning and Astro. Tensions are high the minute the three are assigned together. Their unit commander Captain Strong tries desperately to mold them into a cohesive group but with little success.
