Eunice - Letters of a Fatherly Friend to a Young Christian Mother

These are letters from a pastor to one of his beloved parishioners, a young woman named Eunice. Written in the early 1900s, they follow the ages and stages in the life of Eunice's baby. This work reflects the pastoral care and concern that was typical in the Church a handful of generations ago. The letters also provide historical perspectives on child rearing, school, authority, respect, sexuality and engagement.
