Cry Baby

In this, the fourth book in this mystery series, Detective Inspector Tom Pollard is forced to face his own demons when, following a particularly enjoyable day out, his partner, Lynda, announces that she needs her own space in order to try to come to terms with the loss of their baby, the result of an all too successful DIY abortion which almost cost her her own life. His problems begin to mount when a child is abducted from a shop dorway and another is snatched on its way home from school.
