Throughout the centuries, the season of Lent has been held as a sojourn with our Savior. As we read about, meditate upon, and respond to the events leading to the Crucifixion of Jesus, Lent becomes a contemplative experience rather than a fasting project. This year, Visual Faith® Ministry invites you to observe this sacred season by engaging daily in the practices of scribing Scripture and interacting with Christian faithart. Carla Kramer, one of our treasured VFM artists, offers to this faith-filled community her forty drawings and paired reflections based on the Gospel of John, Chapters 12-21. Beginning on Ash Wednesday and continuing for the next six weeks, you are encouraged to daily hand-write a passage from the Passion Story and interact with its connected artwork. You’ll also find daily discussion questions to prompt family conversations and devotional journaling.
