30 senior undergraduate students from Carnegie Mellon School of Architecture in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania design a new long-term plan for one of Pittsburgh's industrial regions, Chateau, on the Ohio Riverfront. As one of the few areas in Pittsburgh with direct access to the river, Chateau has enormous potential beyond parking sheds and heavy industrial use. A blend of new mixed riverfront housing, outdoor recreational programs, expanded retail and commercial use and a strong institutional center seek to bring Manchester back across the divisive Highway 65 and connect residents, old and new, from both neighborhoods back to the river.
