This story begins when Tawna Forsythe, a young and talented teacher, is involved in a car accident leaving her in a comatose state for months. She has terrifying nightmares while she lies unconscious, unable to awaken. Her family worries and wonders how long they should let her live unresponsive. Suddenly, Tawna makes a miraculous recovery stunning everyone including the medical professionals. She is hailed a miracle and recovers fully in less than a week. This modern miracle is stunned as well, but thankful that she is alive. To her dismay, she is riddled with recurring nightmares that leave her unable to sleep and are violent enough to make her begin loosing teeth one by one. Once she accepts her fate she realizes that her dreams have been the cure for her insomnia and that during her comatose state she made her ill- fated decision to live, consequently accepting her destiny, her assignment, at the same time.
