The Guide to the New Universe

This book began as a discussion on artists' interests in tours, maps, and guides, underlying a dynamic paradox – how to author the rules without reproducing asymmetrical relationships of power with publics and in public space. This collection of illustrations, essays, manifestos, prose, reports, and fictive narratives is the fourth publication from the Social Practice Workshop at the California College of the Arts. Guest contributors include Ted Purves, Oscar Romo, Fallen Fruit, and Banu Cennetoglu.
