I started taking photographs as a way of healing, a way of replacing pain and hurt with beauty and tranquility. The pictures taught me how to love my country again despite everything that had happened in Zimbabwe. At every opportunity I went off the beaten track and sat with my notebook and camera and let the diversity and beauty of Zimbabwe wash the pain away.
