Neurodiversity, Autism and Recovery from Sexual Violence: Memory, Concentration and Sensory Experiences

Following trauma, victim-survivors often experiences changes in memory, concentration and sensory experiences, and they can become either heightened or numb. For neurodivergent individuals experiencing challenges in all or some of these areas generally, the difficulties can then become more enhanced. Booklet 7 explores the origins of some of these barriers and suggests activities to recognise triggers, situations where you feel most at ease and are more able to focus and experience less unpleasant sensations and memories.
