Twelve Steps Out of Yemen

Twelve Steps Out of Yemen

ByCedric Mark

This story is a fictionalized account of events that took place in Yemen as a prequel to the 9-11 terrorist attacks on U.S. soil. Mark, an intentionally sober geologist, is prospecting for wildcat drilling locations in the Rub al Khali desert of the southern Saudi Peninsula. He encounters suspicious characters and unusual developments deep in the desert as well as inside the old city walls of Yemen’s capital, Sana’a. Mark makes some rare friends while working in this ancient place. He is in constant struggle with his spirituality and the elements. One wonders if he will get out alive.
