On the morning of Halloween 1953, the body of Benjamin Green was found along Brush Creek in Kansas City, Missouri with multiple stab wounds. Despite extensive investigations, officials were never able to find Mr. Green’s murderer. Thirty years later in Edgerton, KS, police responded to a report of a suicide in an apartment complex. A suicide note was found next to the body of James Green, age 38, it read: “She haunts me. I hear her whispering. I war within myself. Her blood won’t wash away. I killed her. Just like I killed Uncle Ben. I am the Devil’s. Hell, greet your favorite son.” Two weeks later, the body of a Susan Heady, 36, was found washed up along Brush Creek in Kansas City, MS with multiple stab wounds.
