This volume represents the substance of a series of readings on the gospel of Luke with Mr. C. A. Coates during the years I929-I931. It has been compiled from notes taken at the time, which have been carefully revised. Certain sections of the gospel were not covered by these notes, and some omissions in the scope of the teaching have therefore been unavoidable.
