BLACK SABBATH OF THE VODOUN DETECTIVE

ByCharles Metcalf

Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
The Director of Homeland Security hires someone to penetrate the Agency with a detective on Metropolitan Police Department's Homeland Security Liaison Division. The Haitian detective is assigned to the Focal Point Office to interface with DHS and C.I.A. At the Agency, Range grapples over secrets wrapped in the past of the Middle East. He views petroleum shipments mysteriously disappear on the open sea; military officers tortured by civilian inquisitors. Before the Vodoun detective becomes just another statistic in the Murder Capital of the World, he must decide which scenario for military action in the Middle East is the real one. For, beneath the facade of Washington's surface, a battle of ancient proportions is being waged and at the heart of it---a primordial, Jewish-Turkish cult whose code is older than history and whose laws are as immutable as the need to prevail.
