Under His Power Believing the Lie Hypocrisy in the Church
Today following the election of Donald Trump as President of the United States in 2016 the Evangelical Churches seem to have embarked upon what I would categorize as a grave hypocrisy. That hypocrisy can be characterized by what seems to be a god-like loyalty to Donald Trump often seeming to be at the expense of their loyalty to God. Following the defeat of Donald Trump and the election of Joe Biden as President of the United States in 2020 the rift between what has been called the Trump Cult and the True God has been heightened. In Under His Power we will explore some of the major issues and scriptures to back up those issues and the hypocrisy of the church in supporting and acknowledging those same issues. Most adherents of the Christian Church, especially the more Evangelical Churches would ascribe to the Scripture in Ephesians 6:12 “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” (NKJV) However, one might wonder if the church today is in reality wrestling not against the rulers of darkness but against the power of God and His righteousness and paying homage to the very powers of darkness they profess to abhor. Enter Donald J. Trump and the god-like worship of him and adherence to him and to the lies that he espouses. This has been referred to as the Trump Cult or the religion of Trumpism. It is my goal in writing this book to explore the truth and to alert the unwitting adherents to Trumpism so that they might know and understand the fallacy of their beliefs. Along with that that they understand the danger of those beliefs to God’s church and the democracy of the United States.
