The seventh volume in the Dick Turpin Library series provides more details of the highwayman’s adventures. In this book, the Chief of the Bow Street Runners, Jabez Rawlings, travels to France in pursuit of Dick Turpin. He is determined to capture or kill the highwayman, and hires a gang of French criminals to assist him. While in Paris, Rawlings also attempts to assassinate Bonnie Prince Charlie.
