DICK TURPIN No.11 TOM KING TO THE RESCUE, or On the Road to Tyburn Tree

In the eleventh volume of this series, Dick Turpin is captured by the Bow Street Runners, tried in court, convicted on multiple charges and sentenced to be hanged. On the day of the execution, Turpin is transported by cart to Tyburn Tree, where a large crowd has gathered to witness the hanging of the notorious highwayman. Before the noose can be tightened about Turpin’s neck, however, he is rescued by members of his gang, who are assisted by fifty gipsies.
