Shannon Sharpely follows her father Kent to the Irish thoroughbred industry, she meets Donnelly Clarke, top jockey for her father and the unmanageable thoroughbred colt Diametric, together Shannon and Donnelly work to get the horse ready for the Irish Derby, only to discover a mystery lies beneath the owners and people within the racing industry. Upon the kidnapping of the colt, they set out to find not only the horse but get to the bottom of why Diametric appears more important to others than the owners.
