My Pet Issues

This activity book entitled My Pet Issues is a collection of word-searches, cross-word and other recognizable children's puzzles. It seeks to place in opposition the innocent vocabulary of puzzles with issues of political and sociological content. The framing is jarring and serves to emphasize some of the morally questionable aspects of our political landscape. The process of completing the puzzles implicates the participant and further unveils some of the nuances of the particular situation being referenced. The games, which vary greatly in form as well as in content, serve as a reflection of some of the most contested political events of the last decade.
