The Story of Cell Phones

This student-written graphic novel tells the story of three characters who all have a different take on the cost of technology. Steve is a typical American teen who loves technology, Hu is a Chinese teen working at Foxconn, and Ruth is a Congolese coltan miner. The original story is written and illustrated by a 10th grade student who studied conflict resources and storytelling in her high school science, social studies, and language arts classes in Muscatine, Iowa.
