Created after a seemingly casual comment inspired it, this full color book by artist Chris Cobb is titled "Portrait of Trisha Donnelly as Clouds." On one hand it is a photo documentation of the many kinds of clouds the author saw while living in New England for one year. On the other hand it was made because a friend had asked how to describe conceptual artist Trisha Donnelly and the author's response was that her work and persona were constantly changing shape and defied definition, or one could say, "like a cloud." With that remark in mind he then photographed what he considered to be interesting clouds when he saw them over the course of his travels throughout Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York's Hudson Valley. There are two versions of this work. This one, and a larger, 84 page black and white book, simply titled "Portrait." Each book is limited to 100 copies and when that number is reached they will not be made any longer.
