Pilgrimages of the Gift is the third volume of the Territories of the Alive Trilogy by Christopher Kinman.
In this book Christopher evokes a form of spirituality that is congruent with work, community and daily life. This is not a spirituality of transcendence; of other-worldly powers guiding and thus limiting life, but a spirituality grounded in the diversities of nature, immersed in relations within a real world. This world view, which first emerges in Christopher’s previous two books, invites transformations, or as he would say, becomings — interiority becomes exteriority, lack becomes abundance and gift, the individual becomes rhizome, transcendence becomes immanence, the essay becomes poetry, questions become affirmations, identities become flows of relationship amidst flows of time.
